About the Summer Associate Program Mintz is currently accepting applications for our 2026 2L Summer Associate program and 2L Diversity Scholarship in our Boston, New York City, and Los Angeles offices. Our Summer Associates select a practice area of interest Corporate, Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, or Intellectual Property Prosecution (Boston only) and are immersed in that practice area for the duration of the program. Summer Associates work on an array of matters, often staffed on cases or deal teams, where they can gain real, hands-on experience working side-by-side with our lawyers. Our small class size, coupled with our Member and Associate mentorship program, allows students a broad range of opportunities and experience, customized to their individual goals and interests. After spending nine weeks at the firm, our Summer Associates know our lawyers, understand what we do, and are ready to hit the ground running after law school. Qualifications and Desired Skills - Must be attending an ABA-accredited law school and pursuing a J.D.

Candidates should be organized, self-motivated, responsive, creative and have the ability to manage a busy prosecution and enforcement practice.
- Conduct and evaluate preliminary and in-depth U.S. and global trademark clearance searches
- Draft identification of goods/services, evaluate specimens and Statements of Use and draft substantive office action responses before the USPTO
- Counsel on Madrid Protocol filings
- Conduct enforcement investigations, draft cease and desist letters and takedown notices, and negotiate trademark settlement agreements and coexistence agreements
- Draft trademark, copyright and NIL licenses and assignments
- Copyright counseling and filing; domain name enforcement including drafting UDRP complaints
- Clear content for use on social media and in digital marketing
- Provide diligence and corporate transaction support on trademark, copyright and domain matters

Qualifications
- Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
